Living & Dining

The ground floor opens into a beautifully arranged open‑plan living space, complete with comfortable sofas, a Smart TV and a wood‑burning stove for cosy evenings during the cooler months (available from 30 September to 1 April). The adjoining dining area is perfect for relaxed meals together, whether you’re planning a slow breakfast or a simple supper after a day exploring.

Kitchen

The spacious, well‑equipped kitchen includes everything you need for an easy, enjoyable stay: an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, small freezer, dishwasher and a washer/dryer. It’s designed for convenience, with plenty of room to prepare food and gather as a group.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

Upstairs, you’ll find two inviting bedrooms:

  • A double bedroom with a stylish en‑suite featuring a large walk‑in shower, WC and hand basin.
  • A pretty twin bedroom, ideal for children or friends travelling together.

This floor also includes a house bathroom with a bath (with shower over), WC and hand basin — perfect for unwinding at the end of the day.

Dog‑Friendly

Hurdles Cottage welcomes dogs, making it a great choice for guests who want to bring their four‑legged companions along. A small pet fee applies.

“The cottage was pristine and well appointed with everything we could have asked for and more. The swimming pool was amazing (particularly as the weather wasn't great) and we also enjoyed the tennis court. I was worried that it would be too isolated but actually it was within easy driving distance to the Coast (Filey & Bridlington only 20mins) and the guest folder had plenty of suggestions for nearby places to eat (although the kitchen had everything you needed to cook as well).”
